Q. - “Can massage therapy be paid for by my insurance?”
A. - Legally, by the state of Ohio massage therapists cannot
bill to or accept insurance for massage therapy visits.
Q. - "Are there any exceptions allowed to bill to my particular
insurance?"
A. - The only exceptions are; approved Worker’s
Compensation, (if you were hurt at work) or Personal
Injury. (if you were involved in a car accident.)
Q. - "If I was injured on the job or in a car accident how should I
go about scheduling massage therapy treatment?"
A. - Injury appointments, for the first visit are scheduled by
phone for a consultation, which includes filling out
paperwork. Upon approval from the Ohio Bureau of
Worker’s Compensation, auto insurance provider or
medical insurance we can then schedule an appointment
for you to come in for treatment.
Please note:
You must always have a prescription from your doctor in order to receive treatment for a personal injury or workers compensation case.
. Many times you may need to seek consultation with an attorney for reasons being time off of work and lost wages, unforeseen medical expenses and other expenses, towing, auto bills, etc.
